Program

LUkraine asbl and Kulturfabrik invite you to LUkraine asbl and Kulturfabrik invite you to experience the enchanting fusion of Ukrainian folk music with electronic beats performed by GO_A. DJ Mike MC from Luxembourg will also be there to keep the party going.

The festivities begin at 6pm with a craft market and mouthwatering Ukrainian snacks.

Go_A offers a modern reinterpretation of Ukrainian folklore packaged in electronic sound. Performing their tracks in the Ukrainian language, Go_A’s music immerses listeners in authentic Ukrainian folk with contemporary arrangements, utilizing traditional musical instruments and the front woman’s folklore singing style. They create an ambience of Ukrainian culture using traditional elements, symbols, and clothing, alongside modern approaches like lighting effects.
The band gained worldwide recognition at the Eurovision Contest 2021, placing 5th in the grand finale. Their track “SHUM” became an international success, entering the Billboard Global 200 and becoming the 1st song in Ukrainian to reach global charts, garnering over 100,000,000 streams and topping European and global Spotify charts. In 2023, Go_A embarked on their longest tour yet, the Ukrainian Magic Tour, spanning 23 countries and featuring approximately 40 shows across Europe.

 

DJ Mike MC aka Mike Welter international DJ from Luxembourg, producer and rapper for more than 40 years in the 70s, the 80s and the 90s until today. Mike MC was a resident of these clubs: Starlife, Metropolis, Atelier, Rollship, Blue Joke, Magic Trier and many more.
Performing together on one stage, the bands celebrate the solidarity of Ukraine and Luxembourg and unity in building cultural bridges between the two countries.
